Well I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest Me and my wife just found out that she is pregnant as of well... today! So needless to say its 2 am where I am from and I waited until she fell asleep so I wouldn't feel to embarassed to have her found out how clueless I am.
Like it says in Ecclesiastes, to everything there is a season. In the fall, it's time to get the warm clothes out of storage and gear up for The Holidays. And when you're young, it's time to make travel plans to visit your parents -- but when you're older and you have your own family, you will inevitably start hosting your own holiday celebrations.
We attended a mindful parenting class recently that the instructor called The Art of Inner Nesting. And I have to say it's one of the best things we've done to done to prepare for the coming of our child.
I once saw my wife go through four emotional states within a thirty-second span when she was expecting. Now I'm a fan of roller coasters, the ones that twist and turn and go upside down. I love the blood rush to the head it gives you as the ride violently
jerks you from side to side. I even put my arms up as the thing drops
from its highest elevation. But that thirty-second ride my wife gave me
as I watched her go from steaming anger, confusion, sorrow and then to
gleeful delight is, without a doubt, the most horror-filled, eye
opening experience of my life.
